My custom air dam

2 Attachment(s)
It's been a long time since I've posted in the forum but I figured I would show you guys some pics of my Scion now that I FINALLY got around to building this custom air dam. Got it done last night at 4am (washed down a coffee with a redbull)

I hope that its not tooooo low to do my job, which is deliver pizzas, because I been driving it around town and have scrapped many times already haha. Maybe I will get used to driving differently. I just hope that I dont hit something causing it to rip my bumper off or something but it is attached with zip ties so hopefully the zip ties break before my car XD

Obviously havent got any MPG stats for it yet and they will be all messed up anyway because I installed brand new spark plug today too and filled my tires back up but here are the pics:

One masters thesis suggests a 1% drag reduction ,so figure maybe 1/2% mpg gain.

And it looks good, too.

Perhaps the factory dam already covered all the low bits?

Nice. It'll clearance itself in no time.

Na, The scion comes with 2 really tiny air dams on either side that MAY be 1inch (low, down, tall, however you wanna say it) but when I got the car someone shaved that lip off of them for whatever weird reason, maybe they were all scratch up or something and they thought it made the car look worse

I actually used the 3 bolts on each side that was holding the original air dams into place to hold this one on. There is no mounting at all in the middle of the air dam yet, dunno if I should even put some on. Hoping the air dam rips off easy enough that it doesn't rip my bumper to shreds if I do end up hitting something.

What about a full upper grille block?
