My MpGuino 1991 Metro Xfi

I finally built my MpGuino, I got it close on settings for now. I will post them when dialed in.

I used (2) Radio Shack 4"x2"x1" project boxes , The switches are from the Shack as well. I drilled vent holes to allow airflow into case to keep 128 & 7805 cool.

I used #6x1.5" screws from Lowes to connect the 2 cases together.

This is installed in a 91 Metro. The numbers I have are close but not quite there. I will get config #'s up when I get good ones figured out, and post on Wiki (or have someone throw them on there never done Wiki yet)

That looks awesome dude I am still waiting for iduino to come in!!!

Great job, I like it. I thought about putting some ventilation holes in mine too. I like the green screen a lot better too. On mine I set the brightness to 1 and it is just as easy to read in bright sunlight as pitch black.

I got my vss pulses dialed in pretty close for now. 8475 with 155r12 tires. It was within about .05 miles on a 20 mile trip twice. I will fine tune this over the rest of the week, then onto injector rate. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the compliments, was trying to keep it finished looking. I think this may be one of the coolest things in my car, I love it so far.

It is a very nice looking job

Can I ask what are you comparing the guino mileage against? I'm trying to understand why it should be any different than 8208? Are those non-stock tires and you are using an external mileage reference?

bbjsw10 09-23-2008 12:22 AM

Yeah non-stock size larger diameter and verified with gps and odometer both. 8208 was quite a bit off but close enough to get my baseline to go off of. This is about the 6th setup of vss so far getting pretty close now.

Oh, dude, sorry. You can adjust the vss (or fuel) by the percentage that it is off and get it in like one shot.

if you go exactly 20.00 miles, and the guino says 19.37 miles, then multiply your vsspulsespermile figure by 19.37 then divide it by 20.00, and it should be just about spot on. I guess we need a more refined calibration wiki

No biggie I almost have it now.:turtle:

Vss= 8479 right on, now if I could figure out lock up issues that occurred again today.

bbjsw10 11-04-2008 09:13 PM

Update:

Vss=8208
Usec. gal.=0488554960 Still calibrating this. 3.103 gal. at pump today and 3.10 on Guino. I am going to go for a larger fill next time but wanted to get it close for now.

And Thanks to everyone who helped me out on my reset issues.
