my new bike for putting around town

I found this bike on craigslist for $75. It is old and worn, but the previous owner put some nice things on it. Rear rack, converted to single speed, sugino crank, 700c wheels with nice new tektro long reach brakes. I plan on putting 35mm tires on it (I already put one on the rear tire). I figure this bike will be nice for short trips around town.

Its a single speed so now everyone will think I am the coolest thing ever (especially if it was a fixed gear with no brakes)

Pretty sweet looking bike! Needs a different saddle though.

Nice find!!!

And only $75, that's a steal.

Does it have horizontal dropouts?

You'll love the fat(er) tires if you're used to skinnies. I loved my 38's compared to my old 23mm tires. So much more comfortable over those not-so-perfect stretches of road (which seem to be about 90% of all roads)

My road bike never seemed the best for city riding. Too skinny of tires, too nice, and shifting gears wasn't really needed for this flatter section of the city.

I forgot to say it is a 70s-80s Nishiki made in japan

Now I will be able to hit pot holes worry free:p

--yeah I know. Bikes like this are usually around $150 on craigslist.

--Yep

I just put the bike on the bathroom scale it came in at 24-25 pounds.
