Hello from Germany

Hello people,

I simply have applied here now, because I suspect here many people similarly thinking. I have already tried some ecomods and already achieved some pleasant results, too.
At present, I drive a Prius 2 and an old Hyundai with 7 seats (Santamo). Both are already modified easily.

As Teaser a video of the Santamo, driven with killswitch and start/stop . . .

Welcome to ecomodder.

Some people here have moved the kill-switch to the gear lever.
It saves one hand movement per cycle.

How does it restart ?
It looks to be rather rough during the restart @ (near) standstill.
From what I've read here, most Pulse & Gliders bump the engine back on in top gear.
While you're still moving, I've seen you bump-start it as well.

PS :
Your steering technique - or rather lack thereof - would give a driving instructor an instant heart attack !
Hand(s) on top of the wheel is called the Kaninchen (rabbit)-style here.

I'm more amazed at his computer skills. How does one post a link in their very first post?

Welcome to EM, kurzer

Your coasts are longer than I'd expect for a Santamo. What aeromods have you done (if any)?

I posted your film in the video thread so that it gets more attention.

Looks like embedding Youtube content is allowed despite the anti-spam measures.

I hope I didn't scare him away
Better steering technique also allows one to safely carry more speed through a corner, which helps keeping up the momentum.

it´s the normal elektric starter. watch the video anser with the daihatsu. there ist the restart installation and usage viewable.

don´t worry about that. i´m familiar with driving instructors and some steering techniques. at crusing speed this knowing is somwhat unneccecary, imho. maybe this is more your cup of tea?
