Need Advice On Taking Out Alternator To Get Better MPG
 

I have a 1994 Geo XFI with 120k in mint condition here is what I want to do.


1. Add a kill switch to shut off my alternator.

2. Add a cigaretter plug in battery monitoring system. When it goes in the yellow I will turn back on the alternator till the battery goes back in the green.

3. Add a deep cell battery or something eles that can take the abuse.



Another possible add might be a $28 solar battery charger (off Amazon) that way I am always getting charge with my car.

What do you guys think any advice? Can anyone reccomend a good battery or charging system?
