Need a Cruiser
 

Its time to replace my missus' Renault Scenic as I'm pretty certain its going to nose-dive its MOT test. What I'm after is:

-Family size (similar to Scenic but NOT A PICASSO!!!!) to take me, missus, 2 kids + clutter on holiday round UK/Europe
-Got to have space to sleep in it (for my enduro racing)
-reliable
-Diesel
-has to be cheap on tax/insurance.
-and has to be sub £900

don't wants.

older than 10yr
peugeot/Citreon product - sorry bad previous experiences



so far my shortlist is:
-Astra 1.7dti Wagon
-Scenic DCi
-Galatic mileage Gen2 mondeo
-late gen 1 vectra
-Polo/Golf/VAG Wagon
-polo sedan (Hooooooooooouuuge trunk)
-volvo V40 wagon

Any other suggestions??

Have you thought about the Ford focus?

seeing how they're popular there aren't that many good ones about for my money - plenty of abused muts though!!
