Any 1990s Stereo Gurus Here?

I have gone through 3 cars in the last 4 days, trying to find just one that will actually make it to my parents place in the mountains for the holidays. There have been blown head gaskets, burnt alternators, failed master cylinders - it goes on and on. I finally funneled all my good parts into one Civic Si, and now all that's wrong is the CODE display is showing on the factory cassette deck. It's a '94 Si with the Acoustic Research factory deck in it. My helpful Honda dealership guys (Richmond Honda - shameful plug for them though, they actually dig old eco cars/tuner cars and take the time to help you out with weird parts requests) tell me that if I pull the deck out and give them the serial number on the deck, they can get me the security code. Problem is I am so far behind on shopping/packing/driving to the hills that the last thing I want to do is pull the dash apart and go to the dealership to get the code. Does anyone know if there is some sort of master reset code for these things? Like hold down the #1 and #6 presets and turn the deck on sort of thing? Thanks!

Worse thing you can do is park a vehicle. The fluids that help make it run end up eating away the parts that make it work from the inside out.

Richmond, VA Honda? Theres like 4 of them here, Broad, Pearson, Colonial and one more.

Yes, owners link is something that can pull the code. You can also keep guessing.

Me? I was in your shoes once and put a blue tooth speaker on the dash, linked it to my ipod and rocked out.

LOLOL, I stuck a 12 volt battery and an 8 track tape player in the back of my 67 Dodge Dart and took a week vacation before that battery died.

These days I don't listen to the radio much, heard it all many times before and it makes my ears ring worse. I do listen to the VDOT traffic reports to avoid sitting on the Interstate for an hour and a half without moving a foot.

regards
Mech

Two trips to the Honda dealer later and it works. First time he gave me the code for a 2008 Pilot with NAV that apparently had the same stereo serial number as mine ha ha. Now the hard part - digging up all my old cassettes for the trip, it'll be an all '80s and '90s Christmas vacation lol

Yup, I have one of those, but the same drunken wedding debacle that led to the loss of my keys also led to the loss of my MP3 player. And I refuse to go into a mall this time of year to get another one!

?? We don't speak French on this side of the country, though it is an official language. And there is no cell phone service or radio reception on the trip I have to take through the mountains. I get to go here, it's fun! Except when it's terrifying ha ha
