Need help with designing a bumper sticker

Ok, so I have this issue where people who driver full sized trucks just irritate me; they enrage my very soul. I'm not talking about people with the s-10's or rangers, or even people who use there trucks as work trucks even half time, I'm talking about the guys who own the full-sized trucks that take ten gallons per miles, the guys who think these trucks give them the right to own the road, point their lights straight out, ride with highbeams all the time, tailgate, never allow others to merge, don't pay attention, and has never even used his truck to haul a mattress; The jerk who owns a big truck just cause he wants to use it to affirm his masculinity.

I'm looking for people with similar feelings of rage and loathing, hopefully someone who is better at design and composition. I came up with a basic idea to display my contempt, the humble bumper sticker. Unfortunately, I'm just not that good at design. If anyone has any input or suggestions, I would appreciate it.

He he. Most of the big SUV drivers here are small women...

Sidakers 07-09-2011 05:13 AM

I think it's really just there attitude. I know in the back of my mind that current SUV and trucks are probably just as efficient as my car (sans driving habits), but they just drive like douche bags as well. F-Series and Silverado drivers are bad, but dodge drivers are the absolute worst.

Joenavy85 07-09-2011 07:11 AM

around here there is a nice mix of all makes of trucks, lifted ridiculously high, with obnoxiously large chrome rims. I got a bumper sticker and placed it right below my third brake light (so it's high enough for them to see) and it says "Nice truck you have there, and my deepest sympathies to your small weiner". I think that the wording confuses them more than anything else, but I have had quite a few people ask me where I got it. But searching for it now brings up nothing.

It's funny that this subject came up just now!

Yesterday afternoon in full sunlight; I was traveling in the slow lane of a 4lane road when I couldn't help but notice the bright lights behind me!

In a full sized PU this guy had on his headlights bright, plus 2 big round ones in center grille area, PLUS 4 or 5 BIG round ones all on/on his rollbar!!!!

I just ignored him as he passed. Here in WA., they don't even want a motorcycle to have more than 2 though I've seen many Harley triples.

It just kind of leaves you shaking your head!

Might be too subtle for that crowd:

BOTH OF MINE HAVE DROPPED

I think the best way would be to outwit them yet show that they are a jackass.

1. Stop jack'n on my ass and PASS
2. My big car stops faster than your little truck
3. Trucks are for TOOLS

I take donations. If you get rich off me, please be fair.

While these bumper sticker ideas gave me a good chuckle, my advice is to take a deep breath and relax. You aren't responsible for others behavior, and a bumper sticker isn't going to change anything. Besides, without these poor drivers, we would have nobody to look at and feel superior to.

larrybuck 10-28-2012 09:24 PM

My thought about your original sticker phrasing is that it is likely to incite road rage.

If you have a stout rear bumper, and plenty of time, you just put your vehicle in neutral, and let them ram you forward, saving you mpg's until they get bored, then you repeat with the next one until you get where you are going.

There is no lack of pushing material! Imagine little gas station use! Hope your whip lashed neck is in good shape. Just wear football gear!!!

+1 - getting worked up about it (we all do sometimes) isn't going to affect them as much as it bothers you.

Hey I thought of a good way to get a new boat tail. Get a nice bumper sticker with small print. When someones all up close reading it, you can slam your brakes. Although it may get the other driver all worked up.

Take your vehicle to the 3 most expensive repair shops in town. Send in quotes to insurance companies. Woot you can probably fund all your new aero mods off this new chump of change!

Does it really take a 2 ton truck to haul nothing but your ego ?

Xist 11-12-2012 05:58 PM

I want "Please just go around." It is not witty, subtle, or anything. Hopefully simple enough for people to understand.

Mustang Dave 11-12-2012 06:48 PM

Please pass safely. I don't care about YOUR MPG.

Very nice! :)

My thought lately has been "You must really like that red light!" :)

In your original post you said:

You don't need a bumper sticker to be more provocative and invite responses of road rage equal to yours. You do need to let go of your "feelings of rage and loathing" when behind the wheel.

"Live and let live." ;)

Yup! Gotta catch that red light before it gets away!
I've had people pass me to stop behind 3 vehicles stopped at a red light when there's no one stopped at that red light in front of me.:) I love passing them at the speed limit before they release their brakes.:D

"Red lights...there when a Cop isn't(*)..."

Same here, and they suspiciously all have many little dents in them.

SUV the Pinball Wizard Vehicle!

One of my friends usually drives because I do not have air conditioning. She backed into a silver Subaru at Subway in her Nissan pickup.

Oh, and she is a little over five feet tall. I think that her seat is all of the way forward.
