Need help with headlights please

I thought doax wrote an article on headlights but I couldn't find it. My question is, what is the brightest none hid headlight bulb I can buy for a 94 corolla? I'm more concerned about being able to see good at night, not really the efficiency.

Not a corolla, but my car calls for 9006 bulbs as well. Im running Phillips 9012 bulbs Amazon.com: Philips 9012 Standard Halogen Headlight Bulb, Pack of 1: Automotive

They require a small modification to fithttp://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-91565365470012_2267_311973

In addition to refinishing the lenses and bulb upgrade, I found that there was a significant voltage drop at the headlights. my car ran the ground through the headlight switch. by adding relays I gained around 1 volt at the bulbs. That seemed to help about as much as the bulbs did again, that cost less in parts, but was more labor intensive. If your car had headlight relays from the factory, i don't think I'd bother checking voltage drops

No matter how bright the bulb, if your lenses are hazy, they will be dim.

For the same price as a pair of those bulbs, you can buy new headlight housings on Amazon for your 1994 Corolla:
Amazon.com: Driver and Passenger Headlights Headlamps Replacement for Toyota 81150-1A491 81110-1E221: Automotive
This made a huge difference on my Civic to the point that I no longer felt I needed brighter bulbs.

as an added bonus, a cloudy lens not only blocks light, it also diffuses the light. so upgrading your bulbs without cleaning nasty lenses is a perfect recipe for blinding other drivers and getting them to show you their high beams.
