Need help with starter button
Hey all, I have a 97 metro I picked up last week, and I'm in the process of installing an injector kill switch and push button start on the shifter. I have the injector kill up and running, but I'm having trouble with the push button start. Funny enough, if I understand it correct, the start should be far simpler then the injector kill, just a switch in parallel with the starter circuit somewhere behind the key switch. My problem is I don't know which wires to splice into, lol. I can't find any info online for color codes or socket positions. If it matters, I'm using the identical injector kill switch system as bbjsw10 except I'm using a rocker switch rather then a momentary to control the relay (I have a momentary for the starter circuit). Thanks for the help.

Going from your ignition switch to the fuse block.....There should be a RED wire with a YELLOW tracer. That should be your 12volt wire that applies voltage to the starter to pull the solenoid in, So that it cranks. That RED/YELLOW wire.. I think plugs into the face of the fuse block and is close to the size of a 10/12ga wire. I myself thru a relay in, in my '95 ....to take the load off of the switch. Good luck

Excellent RacerX, thanks for the help. I figured it would be a lighter duty circuit since it's only activating a solenoid, but if it's that beefy, yeah I guess I should use a relay.
