New battery
I just read this artical that scientists and Oakridge National Laboratory developed a new battery with 4 times the capacity of lithuim-ion. An electric car that has a 100 mile range could have a 400 mile range! This could revolutionalize the tranportation industry.

The expensive material in lithium batteries is the copper and aluminum and the expensive part of making them is the quality control in a 0 humidity environment where you are taking very thin sheets of the metal and printing on the lithium and other active parts of the battery, a lithium battery has about as much lithium as a book has ink, only the layers in a lithium battery are thinner then the pages of a book.
