New battery installed
I finally got a new battery installed in my 2007 Civic Hybrid. I decided to go with the Bumblebee battery. The car is driving much smoother and operating properly now. I haven't seen the SoC gauge go below four bars yet and the gas mileage has improved significantly. Before it was averaging 36-37 mpg regardless of driving methods. The first fill up after the new battery was at 140 miles with me and the wife driving it average 45 mpg. I put 109 miles on it today and with my driving habits I got 49 mpg. So I am very pleased with the product and service from Bumblebee.

Good to hear. Make sure to make it your daily driver. The worse thing you can do is park a hybrid.
Hows the starter battery under the hood? It has a dramatic effect on mpg and ima behavior in the gen 2 insights. |
It wouldn't hurt to check the 12 volt battery again, but it was showing 12.8 volts a couple months ago.

12.8 isnt bad at all. Mines would be 11.7 the next morning. I replaced it the next day. I find the gen 2 insight wears out batteries days after the warranty is up. Then again I like loud music, lots of lights and heavy ac use.

Hello, I just saw your thread and it looks like you've had your Bumblebee battery for about five months, I'm just wondering how it's holding up. I am considering one for my car.

The battery is holding up great. I plugged my grid charger into it once for good measure. I have not seen any recals or any other electrical or performance issues I observed with the factory battery. And Bumble Bee was a great company to deal with. And also, I don't know if they mention it on their website yet, but before they ship your battery, they give you an option to extend the warranty another year for $150.
