New User, prospective ecomodder, 2001 Echo

I just purchased a new-to-me 2001 Toyota Echo base model M/T and I love it. Google has directed me to this site five times for misc questions so I decided it was time to join. I've already found loads to helpful information here and I look forward putting it into use. I appreciate any and all advice about getting the best possible economy from this neat, little car.

Yeah, you're at the right place if you want to get serious about hypermiling that thing!

Check out the garage, I'm sure there are a bunch of Echo owners here.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new car. The echo can get some pretty great fuel economy.

Welcome! What things were you searching for that brought you here?

I picked up an '04 base 2-door hatch a couple of months ago:

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ase-33736.html

I'm not driving it yet - I'll be using it this winter and into next spring/summer and will be lightly modding it (mostly aero stuff). Then it'll go up for sale.

I bet the body on yours is in better shape than mine (rockers shot by the rear wheels).

Plans for yours? Got an aftermarket fuel economy gauge in it yet?
