new ecomodder scotland

Hi Stuart here from west coast of Scotland just want to say hello, Latest with me is after much consideration have sold my quick but gutsy SEAT LEON FR tdi diesel and purchased a SKODA FABIA 3 top spec with cruise, climate control, multi function trip computer and the tried and well tested 1.9tdi 105 pd engine liked the high driving position and decent fit and finish of the interior these czech motors are no longer VWs cheap cousins. first mods were van aaken tuning box set up for economy and seat ibiza cupra air intake pipe to airbox (50% better airflow)and green cotton reusable panel filter, as an experiment increased mpg 6%, then purchased -40mm FR springs off of ebay for £8 (a great buy) along with set of mondeo 1 drop links for anti roll bar (40mm shorter) next a fabia greenline front splitter (25mm lower) and 5J fabia 07 on is only car I know that you can buy of the shelf top and bottom grill blocks. looking at replacing several bulbs with led canbus to reduce loads on electrical system and will be replacing 205/45/16 tyres with 185/50/16 same rolling radius but much less rolling resistance at the first opportunity, currently trying to source smaller exterior mirrors to lower drag a bit but am really pleased so far, have a quick practical hatch with 129g/km cheap road tax with 300 litre boot, that can commute regularly at an average 60mph and easily beat 65 mpg, and never drops below 56mpg. would like to do some experiments with water injection on these tdi motors to increase efficiency

..."Welcome aboard the ecomodder express" from an american Scot ("Dulce Periculum") from Ardencaple (or, so I've been told).

Pleased to meet you old tele man, Ardencaple is about 70 miles north of where I live in Burns country, Ayrshire on the West coast of Scotland could probably get there on an imperial gallon of diesel,

currently costing £5.40 here a gallon about $8.50..........And we are an oil producing nation?
