New to ecomodding from Kelowna, BC

I would like to start off by saying that this is one amazing site and I am glad I was introduced to it via Daox through tercelonline.com

I picked up a 1992 Toyota Paseo because my 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis would have been a rather incredible guzzler for my new 140 KM daily round trip commute to work. As it sits right now, I am not going to adjust my driving habits, but I do plan on doing some work to the car itself that will improve fuel economy while keeping its looks so that I can sell it down the road to someone else who has fuel economy on their mind and then I plan to upgrade to a Echo or Yaris hatchback.

I am still fresh to what needs to be done but I love the fact I can keep track of everything on here and have my MPG tracked.

Time to go look around the site but I thought I would give you all a nice picture of how this incredible build looks right now.

I have started to do a few things here and there and it will gradually get better and better. I am going to start a build thread but I am extremely excited about the potential that is available here.

There's a while lot to learn here, but the most important mod is your own right foot. Lots to read here about that.

Congrats on moving from the living room couch to an actual car- that's the biggest step.

Even tho that couch was extremely comfortable, the Paseo is a world better. I do not feel guilty going for a tour through the mountains. Now I can just do it as opposed to making sure I had an extra couple hundred dollars for fuel.

Welcome !

Welcome to EM. I know the feeling on switching from a fuel hog to something decent, especially when we live somewhere with so much scenery to see. I never really went into the mountains or up the coast when I had my Grand Cherokee or my Fleetwood unless I really had to, as it was always like "Do I really want to spend $200 on gas?" When my wagon came along I could actually go somewhere on $40, and started enjoying the sights and the freedom that comes with an FE friendly vehicle. Good on you for making the switch, you'll like it more and more and so will your wallet!

Welcome, driving style is the no cost change that can result in a 20% - 25% reduction in fuel consumed.
