New El Camino?
I just found out about this today, but apparently the El Camino has made a small comeback. Alright, it is not in the American market, or even called the same thing, but the "car/truck" still exists!

Pontiac?!? they folded in 04/09. The article is about 2010 models?!?

I know, seems odd to me too. Maybe it was a concept before they were shut down.

there are already a couple of truck models in the US that look kinda like this
|
...did you notice the article date? 2008!
...just so many pipe dreams by now. |
Utes never really "went away" down under...
|
Looks like a Holden or something similar with a Pontiac grill and badges slapped on... (Same as what Pontiac did with the GTO and the G8)

Holden is a "daughter" branch of GM and is located in Australia.
They have have done a lot of designing that then has been brought in to USA under Pontiac's name. The Ute is made and sold in Australia for a long time now. |
would love to have one, a truck would be very useful, but i refuse to pay the cost of fuel to drive one. and i can't afford a diesel engine.
