Hey all, I have been lurking around this forum for a while. Life's been keeping me fairly busy so no projects have started on the car. Just recently I have gotten some free time and less stress so the projects will be starting. My goal is to keep items looking relatively clean and factory (its the wifes car, I am stuck with a truck because we over the next year we will have moved 4 times for the military each over 1,000 miles) but after the last move I will probably be ditching the silverado and enclosed trailer for an older wagon style car (saab 9-5/328Ti/subaru legacy) around the 2000 year mark. I was originally hoping to be able to go older so I can have a car pre-OBDII and I can install megasquirt to be able to manipulate lean burn/EOC/etc, but I can't find a car that I like the looks of and is a wagon.

Welcome to the site Mike. What kind of mileage are you seeing with the Elantra?

I have tracked about 90% of the mileage through fuelly (hoping there is an easy way to transport it to here) but the lifetime average is ~35 mpg. We have had the car for about 18 months and have 33,000 miles already. Generally try to keep the speed about 60-65, anything over that and the mpg drops to 30 or less sadly.
