They claim 0.271 lbs/hp/hr. The previous record holding engine was their larger model that pulled down 0.278 lbs/hp/hr ten years ago.

Of course, these are very large marine engines, but it does hold some interest for the Ecomodder out there.

I'm going to spring for the 8cyl engine and worry about building a vehicle for it later... ;)

I was thinking more along the lines of the PRINCIPLES we could transfer. Principles such as down-speeding, thermal loss reduction, friction reduction, etc. Their 8 cylinder engine would fit - in something. Or we could just go for a single cylinder motorcycle configuration?

Don't let Jay Leno see one, or he'll have his 'Big Dog Garage' stuff it into a street car (wink,wink)!
