Sorry!

Yes, it hurt to clean up the results (kicked myself out of Team Metro because I haven't filled up the Flea in ages).

Real data is always better than false data, no matter which team you're on.

Of course, I really should log that time I went 3 1/2 million miles on 8oz of gas...

Filled up this morning (biggest fill up, but the engine never went to high rev during idle ) :
  • 2041.7km with 61.68L = 3.021L/100
  • 1268.9mi with 16.30gal = 77.85mpgUS
  • CO2 @ 80.4g/km / 2.85lbs/mi
  • saved : 102.31€ / 147.67$
  • NEDC : -54.9%(L/100) / +121.8%(mpgUS)

Success :
  • 2041.7km=1268.9mi is over 1182.5mi (PB), 2000km, 2006km, 1266.6mi & 2040.1km (to be at less than 1000km to 3040.1km)
  • 77.85mpgUS is over 74.918mpgUS (PB)
  • Lifetime MPG is over 60 : 60.239

Failure :
  • 3.021L/100 is over 3.00 (77.85mpgUS / 78.4) by 0.7%

Anyway, I never had so much fun behind the wheel

Denis.

Nice, Groar.

Team Honda is kicking Team VWs' butt. Anyone else see PaleMelanesian's latest entry?

Everything went right for this tank. No school, hot weather, no rain, no out-of-ordinary trips. It took 5 years of practice to get here. It took patience, too: 7-1/2 weeks to finish that one tank.

Holy cow! Yesterday you were number two and today number one again. Running just two-three tanks per 90-day period really makes 90-day averages vulnerable to new data, eh? Congrats! A 91 mpg tank is a real shocker. I can't meet that game.

It sure does. I started a new tank the day school let out. Then there was this tank, which ran a week into the new school year. That was my summer.

While it's a challenge to keep the numbers up for so long, it means I'm not using much gas. I've spent $279 total this year. (on this car. The other one? )

Did you happen to note your average speed for the tank? Context is good. Not minimizing your achievement.

My best 104 mpg fill-up in the Firefly was at ~20 mph average, per the SG (which is not a "rolling average" speed - it includes time stopped, up to 5 minutes).
