Turtle New to the forum

Hello all. I just found this site about two weeks ago, and after adjusting the nut behind the wheel, my 1997 "automatic" Nissan Sentra went from getting 26 mpg to 35 mpg. My goal for that car is 50+. I am doing solid hubcaps this next week, rear wheel well skirts, full custom body kit, boat tailing the rear, and a manual tranny swap. If anyone else knows anything Sentra specific to try, let me know. I have already swapped out the intake and muffler. But hello all.

Welcome to the site. You have a mighty high goal there. Good luck with the mods.

Welcome to ecomodder.
That's a pretty stiff goal you've set.

In the EcoModder garage, there are some other forum members with 40+ MPG Sentras.
EcoModder Fleet list - EcoModder.com

You can click on the cars' name to get some more info on the car, on the MPG to get to the fuel log.
Or click on the user's name to get to their posts (in a roundabout fashion) where you might find more info on how they drive, what mods they made.

Welcome aboard!

As others have observed, 50 MPG is a challenging goal, but... "what's a heaven for?" You've made a great start by adjusting the nut behind the wheel, and things will continue to get better as you refine your technique and make useful mods.

You're welcome to join Team Nissan and, speaking of which, TOOQIKK's Sippy (a '94 Sentra) has turned in 45 MPG+ tanks. So that at least should be within your reach. (Heck, I've managed 40 MPG on a few tanks in my chunky-by-comparison Versa hatchback... and with no aero mods to date.)

Regardless, have at it and have fun! Even if you never crack that magical 50 MPG barrier, you'll surely benefit from your efforts and from the learning process.

Cheers,
Rick
