Howdy Folks

Greetings. I found this site looking for ways to improve my fuel mileage. I don't have anything that gets really good fuel mileage but I'd like to improve what I do get. I have a 05 toyota tacoma 4.0l- it gets about 18.5 mpg, a 99 F250 diesel crewcab long bed it gets about the same mileage as the tacoma. When the weather is warm enough (above 32 degrees F), I ride my 08 Kawaski Versys 650, it gets between 55-58 mpg.

Just thought I say hello and Merry Christmas.
Rick

Hi Rick & welcome to the forum.

I'd start with creating garage entries for your vehicles to keep fuel logs. Got a fuel consumption display for the trucks?

Merry Christmas to you too.

Thanks Metro.

I got a garage going and no I don't have a fuel consumption display for either truck. Right now money is a little tight, so a scan gauge will have to wait.

Just slowing down has improved my fuel mileage in my Tacoma quite a bit (going the speed limit). I'm shooting for 25mpg in the tacoma. I'm going to make bed cover soon out of a piece of metal roofing.

I think the best thing I could do for the Ford is to get the torque converter to lock up sooner. But first it needs intercooler boots, they all leak and aren't cheap. It's always something!

How many posts do I need to have before I can post a link? I tried posting a link to my ecomodder garage and it says I can't post links because I'm new.
