Hello from Texas.....

Im new to the site as you can see. Im not building an EV yet but I do have a patent for an internal electrical system for EV's. Im a helicopter electrician by trade so I do have a little background involving electricity. Its a pleasure to be here amongst my fellow EV nutz!

Well at the moment I’m building the system on my garage floor and I can’t give specifics on the system. However, I can say I am hot swapping battery packs. Also the system design removes the direct connect between accelerator pedal and battery. There are other components in the system that takes the hit rather than the battery packs. I will be using a motor and motor control set up from Azure since AC propulsion didn’t want to play ball with their AC-150 set up. I guess they are too big for the little guys! I can say that my system doesn’t require plugging in to recharge the battery packs because it all done on board. It’s also not a hybrid system either. So in essence the limitation of miles able to be driven is determined by the ability of the battery packs providing power to the internal closed loop system. It’s a matter of continuous time not miles driven. The aggressiveness towards the accelerator pedal has nothing to do with load on the battery packs.
