New Guy with another geo metro ;)
 

Hey all,

New guy here from Nor*Cal and just wanted to say Hi! I have a '93 Geo Metro Base 5 spd. and love the mpg's! Back in Jan., she wouldn't pass smog anymore. She has 257,xxx and still runs. I recently had timing belt changed, and that's when the problems started. The shop never timed it or did it wrong and that's why she didn't pass. Took it to another shop and had it timed, had a tune up, and an oil change. Well, added oil cause she leaks. :( Passed smog and mpg's went from an average of 37-40 to 43-45 now. I'm going to get the oil leak(s) fixed and I'm looking to get more mpg's out of her!

Welcome to the forum; Im amazed at how many miles some of those cars go, they are only 3 cylinders !

Me too, I do want to eventually rebuild the little devil to get more outta her. I will probably see how much longer she will go, or unless I see a decline! Thanks Rusty!

You bet. with these fuel prices unless you're like Donald Trump we're all going to have to cut costs.
If I didn't have kids, I'd look at a Metro
