New guy burning massive amounts of Diesel!

Hey all, cool forum, hoping to find lots of little mods I can do.

Started today by putting airtabs on my truck and trailer, so far saw a slight improvement but had bad winds on my 300 miles today so will need more testing.

I pull a 40ft enclosed trailer non stop with a Chevy Duramax dually, getting about 11-13 mpg depending on conditions, trying to get up to 15+ as some weeks I am doing 5,000 plus miles!!

Welcome to the forum, glenns. Good advice abounds, and you might look into the aerodynamics section for some info on those air tabs.

Welcome !
Look at your belly and the trailer axles as serious air disturbers.
Can you add a kamm to the trailer like a trailer-tail?

Oh, and welcome, where are my manners.

Welcome! Dig around on some othe threads around here and you'll find quite a bit of info. A lot of the info is geared towards smaller gasoline cars, but many of the same principles apply to a big diesel pickup. What year is your truck? 2wd or 4wd? Auto or manual tranny?

Also, since you have that big enclosed trailer, you might want to look into one of these tails that were designed for big rigs, but could probably be adapted to your trailer:

Welcome!

That's an impressive number of miles weekly. Get us some pics and truck/trailer spec when it's convenient.
