New guy in Socal
 

Hello!

I live in Los Angeles, and have 2 Nissan 240sx's. One is a 1995 (s14) which is built for power/fun, and the other is a 1993 hatch (s13) which is (supposed to be) my efficiency/hypermiler. Ironically, the s14 (fully built, overbored, turbocharged) is getting similar or better mileage than the s13 due to a random electrical gremlin, but I'm going to squash said gremlin....once I find him.

My goal for this car, at least initially, is 40mpg. From there, the sky's the limit.

Both are currently getting around 22-24 mixed, and half of that is in the dreaded Los Angeles traffic commute. I drive about 50 miles 3 days a week, and about 10-15 miles the other 3 days (sunday is a day of recovery). The s13 (when it was running right) has gotten as high as 26 mixed, 34 all freeway, and the s14 usually hovers around 23.5-25 mixed and 32-34 freeway.

I've been lurking awhile, and seeing some incredible builds and results here, so I thought I'd join up, make some noise, and try to get in on the efficiency party!

Is your s14 lowered large rims ect?

Yup, both. kyb agx in the front, koni yellow in the back, eibach sport springs all around. Sitting on 17” 350z rims. Those are going to be replaced soon, because they're heavier than you'd believe.
