...last I knew, FPO stood for Fleet Post Office, hence I take it you're in USN, USMC or such.

...in order:

1) slow down!
2) pump up the tire pressure; door sticker = smooth ride, not best MPG.
3) get a ScanGuageII or Ultra-Gauge to tell you what MPG you're getting as you drive.
4) consider: (a) grill block (use SG or UG to tell you how much opening you really need); (b) wheel covers (hub caps cause vortices!); (c) cut back of A/C, etc..

"Welcome aboard!"

I got the tires pumped up enough so I can run over a dime and tell you what year it is :D

I drive a 05 Mustang GT, I started performance modding it when it was new, most of that helped fuel economy, the tune in the computer is more " efficient "than the stock one, less restrictive air intake, free"er" flowing exhaust
I put on a chin spoiler too. I'll post some photos when I have enough posts
.
the only thing I have done that would hurt my HWY MPG was replacing the Stock 3.31 rear gear with a 3.73 ( But it is a lot more fun when not" eco driving"'
the cluster has average mpg and some other stuff, I tested the gauge with doing the math its right on.

I am currently working on the Most fuel saving mod, My right foot.

Welcome aboard!
You're already getting some rather impressive MPG with your '05 GT - especially with an automatic. You're gonna surpass my V-6 MPG if I'm not careful. :)
Yes, the right foot/nut behind the steering wheel makes a big difference in MPG. Braking is your enemy. Much more than the throttle.

Not sure if this adds FE, but I like the look of it.
