New here ...owner of a 97 Civic HX
Hello from Asheville NC.
I own a 97 civic HX...5 speed and I want to improve MPG. My car is completely factory spec...no mods! I guess my car has lean burn...but not sure how it kicks in or works...i know it does on the hwy... I need lots of help and advice. Thanks Alex |
Welcome to EM.
Looks life you have a good start by having the 5 speed version of the fuel efficient model civic. I'll let the civic guys tell you about lean burn. And instrumentation i would consider to be important as having instant feedback on your mpg and an overall trip mpg to make fuel efficiency into a game to get the highest number. There is 3 main types of gauges to consider: Scangauge, Ultragauge, and Mpguino. The 1st 2 are standard obd2 gauges and the mpguino i've read reads your lean burn mpg correctly |
