New job new need to hypermile
 

My name is Jason. I just recently got a promotion to outside parts sales for an international truck dealership. I am currently driving a 2008 Chevy HHR SS. My only mods have been performance. I have a free flowing exhaust and a custom tune. i am creating 300hp to the front wheels out of 2.0L turbocharged 4 cylinder. With my new job I do get mileage but I am all for saving as much money when it comes to the pump. I have experimented with hypermiling before but now I would like to do more. I am hoping to buy another car just for work in a month or so that I will do more mods to aid hypermiling.

What kind of highway mileage are you getting with the car now?

Definitely start by airing up the tires to a higher pressure and start blocking off the front grill. I'd also highly recommend a scangauge or other MPG meter to keep track of how your driving technique effects things to figure out what works best for you and your car.

Right now I get about 32 just highway but combined city hwy I am getting 25.
