Hello, I'm a new member (but long time lurker).
I love fluid dynamics, I think the movement of air is beautiful, and surprisingly complex, and I spend much of my time while travelling (bicycles and motorcycles), imagining how the air is flowing around me. I've ridden motorcycles for ~15 years, from sportsbikes now onto small bikes, and having a bit of background in aero, but mostly in sustainability, I'm disappointed in how far the motorcycle world is behind the car world WRT aero. Road going bikes are inherently aerodynamically messy, but there is plenty of low hanging fruit to improve the comfort and FE of motorcycles. |

Thank you : ) I do very much, I think there are some particular problems with motorcycles that are less common with the streamlined vehicles that are common here, and have more in common perhaps with pickups or buses. An example is the trailing edge of a windscreen, how best to finish that, as parallel to the windflow as possible, or if not possible, with some kind of gurney flap. All of these things affect the comfort as well as the FE.
How does ecomodder appear from the outside? Aesthetically, or what's said? ; p |

That's a big lurker/user ratio! I didn't expect there to be a seasonal fluctuation, except maybe in winter, when more people are stuck indoors doing projects. |
