Hello fellow ecomodders,
I figured it was time to introduce myself. I am in the US. I own a 1998 VW Beetle TDI and a 1994 Honda Civic EX. I just bought the Civic about two years ago. I have been working on it for a while and I plan to post all of the work in a new thread. |
I love your diesel Beetle ! lots of Honda owners on this site who are getting amazing mpg. The vw diesels are also getting amazing mpg, both your cars are in or nearly in the top 10 high mpg vehicles list. Welcome to the site.

Should've posted the link: 2000 Silverado, went from a 5.3 to a 4.8 (not quite as dramatic as your swap). Hoping he posts more details of his mods to date...

That pretty cool as well. I went ahead and welcomed him to the forum. I had an idea to do that to my dad's truck but he is thinking that it is not worth the money. I think it would be great to drop a Cummins diesel under the hood. At least the fuel economy would increase from where it is but by how much, I don't know. I have seen them do great things though. As it stands, it only gets about 15-18MPG.
