Hello from Puerto Rico!

Hello everyone,

I'm an ecomodder from Puerto Rico. Joined because I have my first eco project and I'm very excited and motivated.

It's a 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage ES automatic that will be my sole mode of transportation for a few months until a goal is achieved.

My goal with the project is to beat a stock Toyota Prius numbers.

I plant to go all out with aero, and mechanical mods. My budget is somewhat limited, but I'm a mechanic, so I can do everything myself.

If you have a problem with your car, just send me a PM and I will do my best to help you.

Have a nice day!

Update:

The auto transmission in the car died.

Found a 5 speed manual, and I'm currently busy swapping it. Should be back in a couple of days.

Was working on the Aero when the trans. failure happened. Once the car is running again, the Aero will be finished.

Hmm, for once a transmission failure has a silver lining. This means you'll be able to fit a kill switch, and bump start the car when needed. Take pictures of your aero work as it progresses!

I was very happy when it died.

Funny story:

The transmission will not go into any forward gear, just reverse. It stopped working about 3 miles away from my parents house. I turned on the hazards, and drove in reverse for those 3 miles.

My neck and back were killing me.

I even went by two motorcycle cops who were parked in the shoulder.

Will surely post pictures of the Aero stuff as soon as I get back on it.
