New motorcycle, new challenges

Hi all,
I just bought a 2012 NC700x DCT primarily for ease of maintenance and fuel economy. Factory says 64mpg, I am hoping I can do that or better. I need to get some time to ride to see where I am at.

Is it fuel injected?

The biggest thing working against my sportbike is the short gearing at highway speeds. If your revs are high on the highway, you might consider going down a tooth or so on the rear sprocket, at the sacrifice of a torquey low end.

It is fuel injected, but it uses what is basically half of a honda fit motor, so the redline is 6500 rpm, it turns about 3800 at 75 mph. Of course better fuel economy can be had at lower speeds.....
