I usually get about 40-41 mpg with my co-worker car pooling with me. Well this week I am riding alone and I figures I would try some P&G and draftiong of semi's. Long story short, I got 47MPG to work and 48.9 on the ride home. If this keps up I will EASILY have a new best tank!!:)

And increase tire pressure, and an aero tweak or two, and then ....

50 MPG!

Tire are aired up and I have a grill block. Also, have synthetic oil and tranny fluid. I side gapped the plugs and have installed a front lower valence (yard edging). I am thinking about a Kammback and possibly a Bonneville style spoiler, those should help.

Also, today I noted that the P&G appears to work best by going from 55-70 and 50-65 with the pulsing being performed at WOT. Tomorrow I will try this all the way from home to work and vice versa, I think I may be able to break 50 MPG as the car sits...not bad for a little neon with about 130k miles on the clock!

We used to have a 1995 Neon base model. That engine would benefit from a mileage camshaft. The best efficiency was at 4000 RPM, but it was mostly running 2000 to 2400 RPM.
