New project at theworkshop.ca: Dune Bug - E
EM member / lurker Frank sent me a heads up about a project he's working on:
http://www.theworkshop.ca/energy/dune_bug-e/buggy_1.jpg This will be interesting, as all Frank's projects are. I think he's aiming for 48v. Already has his batteries and motor, and looks to be aiming to reuse a 48v UPS as both charger and AC power source in the field. theworkshop.ca - Dune Bug - E Part #1 Video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDvgh...layer_embedded |
Do we know what the intended end result will be?
|
Only the intended purpose: he'll use it as a field buggy to get around his property (he has some land, I think).
He posted another Youtube vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eEoCqvS6fo And update: Dune Buggy - Electric Conversion - Part 2 |
I like the custom cable lugs. Copper tube approach.
I tried this with the ForkenSwift too - was harder with the bigger 3/0 cables because I wanted them soldered, not just crimped. |
