Got to wonder where the writers of that article keep their heads. The Ridgeline is a "compact pickup"? It sure isn't compact, and I'd argue that it's not even a pickup by any reasonable definition, just an oversized sedan with the trunk lid left off.

And does anyone else remember when Honda didn't even build anything that got less than 30 mpg?

I'm sure Honda's not the only company re-evaluating the "bigger, faster!" approach these days.

If I'm not mistaken, Mazda also went slightly smaller & lighter with the current (2011 to us) Mazda 2.
