Greetings fellow conservators

My name is Joe, I'm new here, as I was perusing the nets for information about just how high fuel economy could go for my 13 yr old ford Taurus. She has over 220,000 miles on her, has had one tranny rebuild, (failed torque converter/planetary). But has served me well since I got her 4 years ago with 103,000 miles already on her. I am glad to see I am performing above average with her as well, and look forward to learning some new tricks from everyone for the old dog as I keep her going along.

Been married for nigh on 27 years, joined the US Navy out of High School, where I served 10 years and through the first Gulf War. Since I got out I have worked for a company out of N.J. servicing, maintaining and repairing machines that open mail. It's always a challenge and a different perspective on the world. But mechanics is mechanics. mine just involves electric motors, ac and dc, infrared photo sensors and lots and lots of flat belts and pulleys.

Welcome to the site fellow Wisconsinite.

Are you considering any modifications? I'd definitely recommend a gauge such as the SGII, ultragauge or torque app with bluetooth adapter.

I am currently using Torque Pro with my Nexus 7 and OBDLink MX adapter. Probably a Grille block as well especially for winter.
