Motorcycles! Now with 50% more friction!
Someone commented in another video that trikes are considered cars in Europe, so you could ride this without a motorcycle license. That does not sound cost-effective. |
I found a "price" for the Yamaha Niken in India ₹ 16,00,000
Now if my currency converter is right $24,476.81 US Depending on import duties.............Id guess $16,000 to $18,000 US List for a base F3 is $20,800 and it comes with a frunk. no storage in the Niken |

OTOH in Uruguay there are tricycles with a motorcycle-type handlebar and thus require a motorcycle license, while similar models with a car-like cockpit with a steering wheel are titled as a car and require a car driving license. |
It is $15,999 the USA, special order only. That makes it a good bit cheaper than the Can-Am Spyder or trike conversions and it leans like a motorcycle.
I'm very interested but I just bought a BMW R1200RT last year (gave up waiting on the Niken). I'm hoping for a more touring orientated model with an adjustable screen and better passenger accommodations. Yamaha also has a 300cc version in the works: https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/rum...-niken-yamaha/ |

It just looks unnecessary and stupid from my eye, keeping all the issues of a normal motorcycle and adding another wheel to fail
