Next Leaf-based EVs plans for induction charging
 

Nissan/Infiniti's main priority to incorporate cableless/wireless induction charging systems. Still, inboard hardware components dependent on the world market regions' standards and systems. Infiniti’s Leaf-Based EV Will Most Likely Get Wireless Charging - Carscoops

Really, is it THAT hard to plug something in? Wireless charging is cool and convenient, but seriously...

The only place I can see wireless charging being worth it is in public parking lots, but then you have the problem of hitting them with snow plows... so large parking ramps?

Either way, if you only charge with inductive charging you are going to waste around $50 per year worth of electricity in inductive losses.

Just like premium valet spots for supercars & premium luxury cars at top hotels & high end restaurants, those establishments will be first to afford/have 'wireless' (dunno if that is yet the correct term to use) induction chargers for those 'selected' fashionable EVs.

Induction charge might be useful to increase mileage in highway.

...with imbedded induction rail sections on next-gen HOV lanes, w/ required recharge toll.
