I think I'm going to beat the hell out of my 30.5mpg record!

I'm pretty far into this tank currently mile wize than I was from the same basic mark... currently the needle is a little more full than the dark picture above..

any estimates on my mpg? place your bets!

So far the way I'm achieving this is by not using ANY cruise control...

It fluctuated too much and the vac guage I mounted was going nuts..
So I drive the old fashioned with just my foot to meter my vac readings..
I watch both speedometer and vac guage and keeping it in the green economy section of the vac guage.. (Autogage by autometer)

I have noticed my truck seems to like 60mph as opposed to 55mph..

I've done alot of in town driving this tank.. I'd say about 50/50

currently.. (no cel, ignition on, not running)

No guessed from me, but your CEL is on.

I second diesel john's guess +-.002%

cfg83 03-27-2008 12:19 AM

32.3

I was thinking of doing a "Price is Right" 32.9 on Who, but I controlled myself. Yeah, a "smart foot" beats CC any day.

strange, after recalculating for my tire size difference, I only pulled 29.31 US

I think my air filters due.. I drove for the whole tank with no cruise...

Im bummed, but at least I'm still in the green :)

Keep plugging away at it.

It's discouraging to get those lower-than-expected tanks, I know, but you'll get back up there eventually.

Heck, I hit 55mpg on November 25th, and it took me until March 9th to get back up to the 55mpg mark.

Yes, winter sucks for mpg. Though I doubt you're having that problem in CA.
