Jalopnik - Deer Takes In Scenic Route... Through The Grill Of A Buick - Car Crash

I had to look LOL.

What I can't figure: why wouldn't s/he have stopped though? Or maybe s/he did and couldn't remove it!

Or maybe s/he's driving straight to the butcher!

I'd imagine that they couldn't remove it... that one's pretty 'in there' in terms of hitting deer. If you look closely, at the higher res image, just below the bumper, you can see belly hair of the deer, which suggests that the deer is twisted below the bumper and locked in place between the A/C condenser and bumper support.

Poor Buick... those are pretty nice cars.

That's one problem I would never have on my car with its low grill-less rounded nose and sloped hood with the cooling air inlets set below the stagnation point. The deer goes straight over the top without catching on anything.

Or straight into the interior through the windshield. I've seen it happen. Too many bambis around these parts...

I think I may have seen a different kind of "grill block" on Jalopnik recently:

RSmalls, I saw that BBQ, too! Pretty cool! Did you notice that the exhaust ports are open, so that when it's cooking, the smoke will come out the stacks!

Hey, the guy with the deer in his grille should get together with the guy with the BBQ grill. They could have a whole theme dinner going...
