Not quite a belly pan...

I wish they made a full belly pan version:

I'll be loaning my Prius to my sister until I finish rebuilding her Highlander Hybrid engine (I decided to do the bottom end too). The HyHi is sprawled out across her garage and someone gets a cat stolen at least once a week on her street so I'm hoping this is enough of a deterrent

Makes me wonder if a well-made belly pan could double as theft deterrent.

Would at least make it much harder, or even dissuade theft quite effectively.

It looks like many thieves take a peak before getting their tools out of their cars, so I hope the visual deterrent is enough for them to move on to an easier target:

Especially if you use non-common headed screws/bolts

cat's

A kitten once stowed away atop the 'warm' transaxle of my Karmann -Ghia for the 100-mile trip from Edwards AFB, to Woodland Hills, California.
As I parked at my destination, I heard protest vocalizations from under the car.
My friends adopted the 'Air Force refugee'.

Happiness is a warm transaxle. The complaint stated when you parked it, right?

aerohead 06-02-2022 01:37 PM

when parked?

Yep. I was completely unaware that I had a 'hobo' onboard.
I'll credit to smooth operation of the swing axles for not casting the kitten 'overboard.'
I- 395 and the 101-Freeway are no place for any living thing!:o

Most of the times I have seen kittens getting trapped around engines and gearboxes, it doesn't turn out so happily for them.
