Not so ECO mod

I bought a 2000 Intrepid with a blown 2.7 and 48000 miles on it and dumped in a 98 3.2 with 170,000 miles on it. Believe it or not it passed the E test with flying colors.Still has the 2.7 PCM in it but I'm going to swap it out with a 3.5 PCM from a Chrysler 300 for max economy and power (when needed ).
Oh ya. My daily driver is still a 95 Metro 1.3 automatic funmobile that gets horrible mileage on the highway (was going to install a 5 spd but heard too many horror stories). Only has 90,000 miles on it but it's not worth the money to do the swap.
Anywho, have a good day and hope you have a great Christ-mas!
See ya!

I'm curious what's the horror story about doing a manual swap in a Metro?

Do the manual & automatic cars share the same ECU?

That agricultural quality 3-speed non-locking automatic must be frustrating.

How did a motor blow in 50k miles? That's talent.

Like he said: Chrysler 2.7L. They usually last a little longer than 50k... usually.
