The comparison is a real stretch. The Aygo lacked the electro-pneumatic valve train of the Koenigsegg.

I was referring to the Koesnigsegg Jesko, which has traditional overhead cams on a V8 engine, not the Freevalve that Koesnigegg had designed. It's comparible in the sense that both are rather simple, traditional vehicles. No hybrid drive train, no AWD, no frills, just car and nothing else. The Koesnigsegg still gets best 0 to 400kph without all that stuff other (hyper) cars have. The Aygo got great economy, again, without all that stuff other (consumer) cars have.

The Jesko is lighter than the cars it took the title of Fastest from 0 to 400kph from, because it doesn't have the bloat of a hybrid drive train or such.
