Obtaining miles with engine off w/ SGII?

Hello all, I did some searching and wasnt able to find anything about finding a readout of miles driven with the engine off. I would like to monitor my EOC use somehow, and have a SGII. Im not sure if there's some secret feature on it that you guys know about that would work :turtle:

There's nothing that I know of on the ScanGauge for measuring this.

The last gauge I saw that would do this was the custom built SuperMID. Not sure if the MPGuino does it or not.

I thought the hybrid mode would do that- but then again, I may be imagining "hybrid mode."

I use my trip gauge to tell me the difference, so car say 15 miles, SCii says 10, I know 5 miles were EO.

Hybrid mode mainly prevents the SG from shutting down when the engine stops. No additional features.

And mine records distance travelled with the engine off (another benefit of a kill switch vs. using the key).

Ah, shoot. Well, it was worth asking. Thanks for the replies!

When I was using an MPGuino it would track distance traveled with engine off. If the key was on (vss signal getting to mpguino) the mpguino would stay active and count the distance traveled. It even had a field that would display distance traveled with no injector signal (Distance of EOC).

Thank-you sir!

I had a dim memory of the Guino doing it, but wasn't sure. Last time I drove a car with one was Ben's (SVOboy's) CRX with VX swap.

I think I EOC less now that I'm using an Ultra Gauge. I loose the data for the short trip and it takes some of the fun out of the "game". That and the subaru and escort don't have the super simple PGMFI relay ground interrupt kill switch install.

Yeah, the SG used to fail to register distance traveled in the Firefly until I installed the kill switch.

Is it because the ECU loses power and stops sending data to ODB2 or because it loses power in the OBD2 when the key is cut back? Would a constant 12V to the OBd2 port solve this?
