Hello everyone:

I just wanted to throw this out there... you all are probably well aware, but here goes:

Back when I had my Monte, I could never break the 30mpg barrier. I'd get 29, but no matter how much I feathered the pedal, or drove 54mph (which was when it hit over drive), I could never do it.

But- a K&N airfilter, and adding Zmax to my oil, which was Valvoline Max Life 10W-30. I never had much luck with synthetics... But anyway, I got it up to 32mpg.
