Guinocide: reversed power polarity. Any hope?

Yes, I'm an idiot.

I just fried the "evaluation" guino dcb sent me while putting it back in the car after updating the chip to the latest version of the code.

I'm not even sure where to start looking to see if I can fix it (I have extra parts from my DIY version, which I never finished attaching the LCD to).

But I smelled a hot electronics smell, and unplugged it immediately. It was probably reverse connected for about 3 seconds total.

I waited a while, fixed the wires, then plugged it in again. Surprisingly, the power LED lit up on the board and the LCD flickered like it was going to start up, but then everything went silent.

SOL?
