New from WA, too Z

Long time lurker, finally registered. I'm a small time farmer, thus the V3500 for hauling, wife commutes 5mi from home in our Mount'r and we also do freeway trips 30-120mi 2-3 times a week with the annual 1,000mi summer trip(Mount'r or Geo). It's pretty rural around here so we usually are on the freeway/hiway with prob'ly 10% in town driving. I hope to contribute as much as I'll obtain from this site but thinking that might take some time. Thank you all for sharing! This site is it!

Welcome, it is rare to see a rural person who uses a truck as a truck and a car to get around.

Yep, I love the rig. It's bone simple, low $ investment for decent hauling/pulling ability. Chev 350's are a dime a dozen around here, one in every back yard so lots of backyard mechanics. Around here it's the land of big pickups & SUV's. To drive a 20+ yr old rig attracts attention since most trucks around here are 4-dr, 4x4's less than 8 yrs old.

No problem. There should be some useful info in my garage entries, but maybe not specifics you are looking for. Ask away.

What a COOL site, and nice people too! I'll be getting back to you, Oly, I just have to finish my delving into Klemperer. I 1st heard of him off of a long thread in the aerodynamics section, so of course I had to google/wiki a superficial research of him and wouldn't you know, he worked for Zepplin in the 20's. Lots of interesting people also worked there (Lippisch) before they came to the U.S. (hhhhmnmmm!) to work some more for "us".
There's more that I could go on about but I gotta get some sleep.
