Hello

Hello everyone
I'm Gary
I was driving a 1/2 ton Chevy z-71 4x4 burning through 22gal a week just getting back and forth to work. Gas started going up so I went shopping and bought a 96 Geo Metro. I figured it out and at $3.00 per gal I'm saving about $50.00 per week. I now use less then 6 gal a week. I am so glad I bought this car. I'll probably still have to drive the truck in the snow this winter but I figure for what I paid for the car it will pay for itself in less than a year. I'll do some modding this winter.

Welcome to EM

Good to see another KC'er on the boards...

Wise choice on the Metro -- the math often does add up to drive a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Depending on your drive, the Metro should get you around pretty good in the Winter.

Enjoy the site...

Best FE,

RH77

Excellent. My 4x4 Ranger is in the same situation. I used to drive it 10-15,000 miles per year; now it's less than 4,000. As a side benefit, it will last a lot longer and be available when I actually need it (hauling, getting out in the snow.)

Thanks for the welcome
I don't have any Insturmentation yet but my B-day is in 14 days. My wife has the list. LOL
I'm not so worried about the metro getting around in the snow as I am someone else sliding into it. My truck is one big dent so I don't care if someone hits it.

Welcome to the site. Good choice of vehicle, and you're already doing pretty well with it too!
