Old Toyota lover:::

Hi everyone,

I'm glad to be apart of this site. --looking forward to learning a lot. As my title states, I love old Toyotas. Here is the damage:

'76 Toyota Corolla TE31
3tc [1.8l] - weber carb, BRD cam
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2060/...d456b262_b.jpg

'85 Toyota Corolla GTS
FI 4age [1.6l]
http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...dot_org/86.jpg

'86 Toyota Corolla SR5
4ac [1.6l]

Gas mileage is decent for all. I get 25+ mpg on each. The '85 and '86 are the best candidates towards aerodynamics. The TE31 is like a brick wall in the wind. :D It makes up for it with its curb weight.

As some of you may have guessed, I do slide the GTS. I drive a total of 60 miles to and from work, though. So, I'm as much, in a fuel efficiency crunch, as everyone else.

I would love to have an EV, though. Some of the MPG I've already seen is insane--with the projects on here.

Welcome to EM! I saw this Corolla parked the other day :

(it's a phone-camera, so the picture isn't that good)

In between drifting the Trueno, you can treat it with Hypermiler kit-gloves. I'll bet your Trueno would be a candidate for the MPGuino. Ha ha, MPTrueno!

Welcome to the site.

I'd recommend looking through the 100+ hypermiling tips to begin with (link on the top of the page). I don't see any problem getting all those cars to get at least mid 30s for mileage, even 40s are within reach.
