Here's an effort that tries to hit the same price range as the Elois/VLC, but avoids the whole "can-it-be-brought-to-market " problem by offering a kit of parts to the coach-builder, and releasing the plans as open-source.

500 Euros for a chassis with steering.

I wondered why nobody had posted, but I didn't think to look in DIY / How-to. I declare this thread closed, I can make my "who wouldn't download a car" joke there.

I liked my title better. :p

So, who's buying ?

It's 2090 EUR + p&p though, not 500.
And without the engine (not even sure what engine it'll be.)

With a EU regulated Vmax of only 80 kph / 50mph as a motorised 4-wheeler, I'm out.

Expensive for a go cart.
